This is great news for Madagascar 😊 😊 😊.

After three years of suspension, Airlink flights connecting Antananarivo and Johannesburg will resume from 30 January 2023. Airlink : Resumption of flights between Antananarivo and Johannesburg. Indeed, the lifting of the ban on flights between Madagascar and South Africa is lifted.

As soon as these flights resume, passengers will no longer have to go through Mombasa, oh Kenya, or through Mauritius to obtain a transit flight to Madagascar. Selon Airlink, this resumption of flights linking Johannesburg to Antananarivo follows the lifting, by Madagascar, travel restrictions related to Covid-19, leading to the subsequent ban on air services to and from South Africa.

Flight schedule.

Starting from the 30 January with one flight per week on Monday. The 4Z flight 252 which departs Johannesburg at 10:00 a.m. and arrives in Antananarivo at 2:10 p.m. on Monday. And the 4Z flight 253 which leaves Antananarivo at 3:00 p.m. and arrives in Johannesburg at 5:40 p.m. the same day.

From the 14 February, There will be 3 flights per week with the same schedule on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays.
