Air France and Emirates Synchronize their long-haul flights with Madagascar Airlines
Air France and Emirates have launched a new initiative : synchronize their long-haul flights with those of Madagascar Airlines. These collaborations will facilitate connections and allow passengers to have easier access to the magnificent island of Madagascar.
Flight synchronization : a step forward for tourism in Madagascar
Air France and Madagascar Airlines have announced a promising initiative to synchronize Air France's long-haul flights with Madagascar Airlines' domestic routes. This collaboration aims to reduce connecting waiting times at Antananarivo airport. This provides a smoother travel experience for passengers from France. Travelers heading to local destinations in Madagascar will benefit from reduced total travel time.
This synchronization of flight schedules is also planned by Madagascar Airlines with Emirates Airlines.. President Andry Rajoelina had also argued during the inaugural Emirates flight that Emirates flights will be connected to Madagascar in less than an hour and a half to destinations like Nosy Be, Toliara, Toamasina, Tolagnaro, Mahajanga and Sainte Marie. Travelers could thus be spared unnecessary waits at the airport.
A strategic agreement to simplify travel
To support this synchronization, an “interline marketing” agreement was signed in Paris, allowing both companies to combine flights on the same ticket. This agreement offers passengers the advantage of being able to check their baggage to their final destination.. This thereby eliminating the need to re-register them in Antananarivo. This device considerably simplifies the journey for travelers, while strengthening cooperation between Air France and Madagascar Airlines as part of the development of air transport on the island.
Madagascar Airlines also intends to launch codeshare cooperations with Air France and Emirates Airlines. Madagascar Airlines and Air France indicate, for example, that they are working on the establishment of an agreement allowing Madagascar Airlines to affix its code to Air France flights linking Antananarivo and Paris-Charles de Gaulle.. According to both parties, “this agreement would expand options for Madagascar Airlines passengers, with connecting opportunities to destinations beyond the Air France hub at Paris-Charles de Gaulle”.
