Air : Qatar Airways will serve Madagascar

This is great news which will be very beneficial for the Malagasy economy, particularly in the tourism sector. The Malagasy sky finally opens in the Middle Eastt. Qatar Airways will serve Madagascar with seven flights per week.

Indeed, the airline Qatar Airways plans to carry out seven weekly flights to Madagascar.

A Memorandum of Understanding was signed on Friday between a Qatari delegation from the airline Qatar Airways and the Civil Aviation of Madagascar (Acm). This signing took place after a visit to Antananarivo international airport. This agreement defines the technical form of the agreement between Qatar and Madagascar regarding aerial exploration.

On the other hand, no date for the first flights has yet been communicated at this time.

Ministry objective

With a view to achieving the objective of welcoming one million visitors within five years, the Ministry of Transport and Meteorology intends to expand its cooperation to other major airlines.

Reminder, Qatar Airways is one of the largest airlines, which serves more than 170 countries around the world. And it now plans to operate seven flights per week to and from Madagascar..
